I'm Jeff Schoch.

I was born in New York and served in the U.S. Marine Corps, where I learned leadership and discipline. After the Marines I went into the private sector and started several companies. That mix of military and business experience still shapes how I lead.

For more than twenty years I've served churches and schools in New York and California, in roles that ranged from teaching and discipleship to operations, budgets, staff, and building projects. Since 2018 I've been Lead Pastor of Crossroads Bible Church in San Jose, where we're working to rebuild a vibrant, life-giving church in the heart of Silicon Valley.

I hold a B.A. in English Literature and an M.A. in Theology. I've coached wrestling since 2001, and I write and teach on faith, culture, and the Christian life.

I'm married to Alison, and we have four sons.

  Teaching & Discipleship Pastor during growth from about 200 to more than 1,200.

  Highlands Church & School, San Bruno

  Operations Pastor: budgets, staff, systems, and a 60,000-square-foot facility project.

• 2018–Present

  Crossroads Bible Church, San Jose

  Lead Pastor.
